Contains a brief overview of Lewis's training history and locations, battles fought in Europe, and pertinent World War II facts. Also includes a narrative detailing the military experiences of Lewis and his three brothers, all of whom simultaneously served in the armed forces. Discusses the conditions of the family members not directly involved in combat with regards to v-mail, rationing, and War Bonds. Describes the pain the family experienced after receiving a telegram from the Army notifying them of their son's serious wounds suffered in combat. Photographs show Lewis in military dress and a crowd celebrating following the war's end.
